Being a lifelong resident of California, Anita Petersen is knowledgeable about SoCal’s beachside communities. She is passionate about the meaning of “home” as the foundation of security, peace, community, fond memories, fun times, financial stability and all of the good feelings that the word “home” represents. Anita enjoys getting actively involved in the Channel Islands Harbor Community; she is an avid boater and hosts, with her husband, many local events throughout the year, including wine tastings, group dinners and theme parties, boat trainings, Women on the Water Seminars and progressive dinners by boat. As a real estate professional, Anita specializes in residential properties by the water: harbor and beach, dock homes, vacation or second homes, investment properties, turn-key to fixer-uppers, and vacant lots by the sea throughout Southern California. She has a special interest in harbor homes with dock access. A focused, goal-oriented mindset has always been the common thread through all of Anita’s business dealings. Her professional career includes more than 30 years as a manager for some of the largest boat dealerships in the country. As a Licensed Yacht Broker, Anita has helped clients all over the world with their boat and yacht transactions. She excels in customer service and sales, and as a result she has earned a reputation as one of the top boat and yacht Brokers in the United States, for more than 30 years. Anita takes care of her home sellers and buyers in the same professional, fun manner as she has throughout all of her career as a Yacht Broker.

Anita invests back into her community through volunteer and support efforts for many organizations - including the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ventura County, Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita, Boy Scouts of America, International Seakeepers, Channel Islands Gulls, Channel Islands Maritime Museum, the Special Olympics of Ventura County, and several other local charities - all with the intention of strengthening community. In addition to real estate sales, Anita is the President of Valkyrie Yacht Sales, which specializes in new and pre-owned boat sales, trainings and boat ownership incidentals.
